COURSE INFORMATION

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a powered industrial truck (Forklift) equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachment, for licensing purposes.

Assessment for High Risk Work (HRW) licences is undertaken by an accredited assessor approved by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

  • Carry out pre-start, start-up, park-up and shutdown procedures
  • Operate forklift
  • Forklift attachments
  • Secure, lift, transfer and place loads correctly
  • Carry out operator maintenance

This unit is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

This training is conducted under agreement with MyneSight Pty Ltd RTO #31900.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age to undertake assessment

Participants are required to have a reasonable level of language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) ability to ensure the successful completion of this course and must be able to read and write basic English and carry out basic calculations.

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with an electronic Statement of Attainment for: TLILIC0003 – Licence to operate a forklift truck

Successful applicants will also receive an assessment summary (AS1) from the accredited assessor.

3 days

Training is delivered face-to-face by experienced industry trainers.

Participants will be required to complete theory and practical activities and assessments.

Training is generally delivered at a purpose-built training location in Cannonvale or on site in a suitable training environment.
